Let us introduce ourselves
A few words about us
BarcelonaDreaming is a unique and vibrant team of experienced tour guides who specialize in creating tailor-made, private tours in the city of Barcelona, with a Jewish flavor.
All of our guides are university graduates with history majors, particularly on the Jewish history of Spain. They all speak multiple languages fluently and have all been official guides in the Old Synagogue of Barcelona, one of the oldest Synagogues in Europe. In addition to conducting many tours focusing on Barcelona’s general and Jewish history and culture, we are also very much involved in the Jewish community in the city today.

Barcelona is my home. I was born and raised in Israel. My passion for art, culture, travel, food, wine, history, and all things beautiful about the world around us became my driving force to become a professional tour organizer. I have always been interested in history and art; I graduated with a degree in history at the Tel Aviv Open University, focusing on the history of Spain from the Middle Ages to the Modern Age.
Vacations are exciting opportunities for me to meet new people and share the wonderful things people should know about special places and the glorious past of each destination. Travelling merges amazing opportunities to mingle with people from various cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs. I really love it!
Looking forward to meeting you soon!

I moved to Barcelona in 2009 from my native country of Israel, where I earned a dual degree in History and Geography from Tel Aviv University. Before joining BarcelonaDreaming, I organized and led guided tours of the Barcelona Old Synagogue’s Museum. My abiding passion for stories of the Jewish life in modern and ancient Spain and my academic study of these time periods make me a deeply knowledgeable and emotive tour guide. I am open to any and all questions and adaptable to the needs and interests of my clients. I am fluent in English, Spanish, and Hebrew.

Born and raised in Barcelona, I graduated in ancient music studies at the Conservatory of Barcelona and specialized later on in Sephardic music. The analysis of the lyrics, which provided a rich and enlightening understanding of the Spanish medieval history, showed me
a breathtaking picture of the Jewish culture from the Middle Ages. Being Barcelona my hometown, I think it is important to acknowledge and understand one of the most significant Jewish communities of the medieval period, and how it transformed and shaped the culture,
science, art and philosophy of the world we know today.

Being born in a kibbutz to a family who hosted international volunteers and valued their unique perspectives, this ingrained within me a love of people, culture and story from a formative age.
Since then I’ve moved to Barcelona and that initial interest has ignited into a greater passion. Sparks first appeared as my new Catalan friends told stories of their Sepharadic roots. This laid the foundation for my growing awareness of the importance of the medieval Jewish community to Barcelona. Historical study revealed a tapestry of tolerant periods followed by fanaticism and narrow-mindedness. I began to unravel the mystery of Jewish heritage interwoven throughout the cultural fermentation of Catalan history. Ancient architecture, hidden neighborhood histories and the personal stories of philosophers and rabbis – great thinkers, wise counselors, genius theologians – are all encased in the bedrock of this modern cosmopolitan city.

Growing up in Israel I always had a passion for history and literature. My first experience as a tour guide was actually when I drafted to the IDF, I started my service as a tour guide for foreigners from all over the world. I traveled all around Israel and shared the stories, history and culture of my country. When I moved to Barcelona in 2022 I had a dream to go back to touring and guiding so I joined Barcelona Dreaming to learn the secrets and history of the beautiful Barcelona so I could share all of it with others. My favorite thing about this job is meeting new people everyday as well as learning from their unique experiences.

I am originally from Israel and moved to Barcelona with my family out of love for the city. I studied film and screenwriting, and stories are my greatest passion. I think about history as a collection of stories .The story of Barcelona andthe Jews in Spain is a fascinating narrative that’s enjoyable to tell again and again, set against the most beautiful backdrop.
Writing stories touches a little on every field, and so does history. I like to have knowledge in every area that relates to the story—food, architecture, philosophy, art, and sports, the things that make up life then and now.
When I moved to Barcelona, I joined the team at Barcelona Dreaming and found a home for my love of stories and for meeting new people.
